Carnegie Mellon International Film Festival
Film Screening: Dior and I
“Frederic Tcheng’s Dior and I is a fashion doc with both a sense of history and a feel for the energy of a work in progress.”- John DeFore, The Hollywood
What is beautiful? For many, the concept of Fashion brings to mind ruthless celebrity magazines, Project Runway, and even 'The Devil Wears Prada.' Frederic Tcheng's 'Dior and I' gives audiences the luxurious inside look at fashion from the eyes of the artist. Raf Simons, the new head of fashion design for the international renowned Christian Dior and the Miranda Priestly of attire, has eight weeks to prepare for his most major event yet. Before models can don the fashion and walk the runway, artists behind the scenes collaborate and create pieces of art with their tireless blood, sweat, and tears worthy of the immaculate brand and expectations of the French company. 'Dior and I' takes us to the very root of privilege and beauty--the mastermind designers.
